*WOOD Container Wicks
This all natural wick is 5" tall and made from wood that crackles while burning your container candle. Single wick candles only.
Available in 3 sizes - small, medium and large
The small size measures 5" long x 3/8" wide and is great for containers 3" to 4" in diameter.
The Medium (Mason & Jelly Jar Size) - This all natural wick is 4-5" tall
The large size measures 5 1/2" long x 3/4" wide and is recommended for containers 4" in diameter and wider.

Wooden candle wicks have been tested successfully in most waxes but we do not recommend using them in gel wax, pillar candles or in jars with a diameter smaller than 3".  Softer container waxes are the easiest to use with wooden wicks.  See our instructions below.
Directions: These wicks appear to have two wicks adhered to each other. Do not separate them. It is important they stay together.
Trim the wick to desired length allowing 1/8" of the wick to be exposed at the top of the candle. Heat wax, add color/fragrance and pour as recommended by manufacturer. Allow candle to cool and begin to set. When the candle is starting to solidify, insert the trimmed end of the wick into the soft candle wax. Allow the wick to sit 1/8-1/4" above the container bottom.
Allow the candle to cure 24 hours. When the wick is lit, it will take a little longer to produce a full burn. Never allow the wax to flood the wick. If the wick extinguishes itself, allow the wax to cool and light as usual.
1.  Choose a soft container wax or soy wax to make your first few candles.
2.  Heat your wax, color and scent according to the manufacturers recommendations.
3.  Trim your wick to the height of your jar allowing approximately 1/8" of wick to be exposed for lighting.
4.  Pour your wax into your jars and allow the wax to cool until there is a thick enough skin to hold the wooden candle wick in place.  We usually wait about 2 hours until the candle is pretty well set up.
5.  Insert the trimmed end of the wick directly into the center of the candle and push down until the wick reaches the bottom of the jar.  If the wick is too long, you can remove it, trim off the amount that you desire and insert the wick into the wax again.
6.  Wait at least 24 hours for your candle to cure before lighting.
7.  Enjoy!
Our wooden candle wicks need to be trimmed before lighting almost even with the wax to ensure a clean burning candle and better crackling sound.  Our wick nippersare a great tool for this job since wooden wicks are thicker and cannot be trimmed with scissors.  If your candle does happen to smoke, extinguish the flame, trim the wick smaller and light the candle again.

I just tried one of these in comparison to the orignal WoodWick and they do not crackle and the flame is larger also throwing some black smoke here and there.

I didn't care for these, I purchased the small size and used them in 8oz. containers with a 3 1/2" diameter. They don't crackle at all, and no matter how low you trim them they smolder and smoke and the flame is dangerously huge! I'm very disappointed in these wicks.

These wood wick candle wicks are making some amazing candles! I am selling them as fast as I can make them. Everyone comments on how they ove the sound they make and of course how good and strong the scent is. All natural.... all is great! I am so glad that you are carrying them, Jody! You are right up there and seen to know when the big trends are starting! Love them! Love them! Love them! Deb
