Lip Balm Products- Melt the lip base in a Pyrex cup in the microwave. Use a low heat and check often....it melts very, very quickly. Add 1 tablespoon of flavor fragrance per 16 ounces of base.....or 1 1/2 teaspoons per 8 ounces....or 3/4 teaspoon per 4 ounces of base. You can then add the powdered colors for lip products or leave it "natural" color. Pour into you lip tubes and let it harden.
TIP:
Lip Balm Tip! Gather a handful of lip balm tubes together, securing with a rubber band. Then pour your balm slowly into the tubes. I find that using a small measuring cup with a pouring lip works best. You can get quite a few filled quickly. I save the big rubber bands from my newspapers
Lip Gloss Tubes Tip: When your base is in its liquid form (when melted) add a base oil to the base to make it more of a liquid gloss rather than a gooey gloss. Base oils: Sweet almond oil, Meadowfoam oil, castor oil or olive oil add as desired.
