Disperse in oil. This powder requires light to reflect the sparkle therefore for maximum affect, we recommended using this powder in a clear or semi-clear base. Particle size is 6-48µm. This color is difficult to use in mp soap.
Directions Mix with oils used in your recipe. Add color as desired. Note: If attempting to use this powder in mp soap, try mixing the powder with your fragrance oil and then adding to the soap. Note Customers have reported that this color will turn to a burnt orange in cp soap.
This is one in our family of "True" colors. The "True" micas are all bright, low-sheen micas which have been so made by the blending of FD&C dyes with a mica substrate. Generally, the "True" colors are not approved for use in eye products because they contain these dyes.
True Red/Orange is red in appearance unless it is put into a high pH environment such as soap, when it turns orange.
The colors have been specially manufactured to be "hydrophobic", which means that they resist water.
