Fragrance can cause discoloration in your products.
Fragrance oils can vary in color based on the carrier oil they are distributed in. The base color of a fragrance oil can vary from clear to deep golden yellow. Also, fragrances that contain vanilla or vanillin will cause your soap to change color. You may not notice this change right away. A product that contains a vanilla based fragrance can change dramatically over the course of a few days or weeks. The resulting color will vary from a light cream to a dark rich brown. However, there is no need to fret over using Vanilla based fragrances! Our Vanilla Color Stabilizer will help prevent many products from experiencing this color change.
